Newell Hargett, MD

Dr. Newell Hargett graduated summa cum laude from Xavier University.  He earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical School in 1972.  He then completed his medical internship at Roosevelt Hospital and his residency in Ophthalmology at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.  He concluded his training with a fellowship in Glaucoma at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Dr. Hargett joined the Navy serving as Glaucoma Director at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda from 1977 until 1984.  He has served the Washington metropolitan area for 29 years.
